Our Principles

These principles guide how we write, read, and collaborate on BlogXiv.

Clarity & Rigor

Make claims precise, provide evidence, cite sources, and explain assumptions. Prefer reproducible artifacts when possible.

Respect & Inclusion

Engage ideas, not identities. No harassment, hate speech, personal attacks, or doxxing. Content must follow local laws.

Attribution & Integrity

Credit ideas fairly. Disclose conflicts of interest, funding, affiliations, and use of AI tools in writing or analysis.

Content Standards

  • Accuracy: Distinguish facts, opinions, and hypotheses. Correct errors promptly.
  • Citations: Link papers, datasets, and prior work. Prefer stable identifiers (DOI, arXiv).
  • Originality: No plagiarism, excessive self-plagiarism, or purely AI-generated content without meaningful human authorship and disclosure.
  • Reproducibility: When feasible, include code snippets, configs, or links to repos and data.
  • Privacy: Remove sensitive data and personally identifiable information without consent.

Community Behavior

  • Debate ideas constructively. Critique work, not people.
  • Be generous with context and assume good faith.
  • Report harmful behavior, security issues, or policy violations.
  • Respect content licenses; do not rehost paywalled content.

Enforcement & Reporting

We respond to reports and remove content when necessary to keep BlogXiv useful and trustworthy.
